Where R-134a stands
HFC
An HFC regulated under the AIM Act phasedown: virgin supply is allowance-capped at 60% of baseline today and halves to 30% on January 1, 2029. Servicing existing equipment remains legal, and reclaimed R-134a requires no allowances. Demand for reclaimed supply rises as allowances tighten.
